September 2020: Hsin-Yi Huang

Hsin-Yi Huang is a ceramic artist. Her medium is porcelain. She loves the smoothness of the clay body and how it responds to glazes. In this body of work, titled “Flowers”, Hsin-Yi explores her favorite subject; forms and patterns found in nature. She then expresses her observations and imagination in her porcelain sculpture. It is spending time in nature that bring her joy and calm during the COVID-19 pandemic. She wishes her work will also bring a feeling of peacefulness to her viewers during this time of uncertainty.
