March 2009: Martha Cansler

Martha compulsively collects artifacts of American culture that are both eye catching and absurd. She is fascinated with language, typography and sound. She uses meticulously crafted typographic highlights to define and enhance her art pieces. Martha works in whatever media will best present her latest curiosity including wood, fabric, oil on canvas and ceramic mosaic.
