June 2010: Chris Griffin & Tabor Porter

Chris Giffin’s sculptures are all figurative (animal and human) in some way. There is an imaginative and fanciful thread that ties her cast of characters together. They suggest a quizzical and soulful nature.

Tabor Porter’s assemblage work has an indefinable stamp; many of his components are fashioned by him. Though he uses recycled and found objects, he also adds his own elements, often hand carved painted wood, along with metal-smithing components.
