April 2022: Linda Buechler - Acrylic

As a visual artist, Linda is most comfortable with a pencil or paintbrush in her hand. She spent her years after college working in graphic design before switching to museum work, including exhibit design and maintenance. She’s drawn numerous pet portraits and a few years ago built a dress out of discarded gloves and objects found in a food pantry. Her latest work evolved from a love affair with color, clouds, and light. She has a fascination with undulating forms and the play of light and shadow. This world can overwhelming at times but there’s a great deal of beauty around us, especially in the details and this beauty can transform, depending on one’s perspective.
